The need for Custom Software set to rise in 2010.

The need for Bespoke Software will continue to rise throughout 2010 according to a recent survey conducted online by Micar Software.

The reason for the rise in demand is purely down to cost, and the fact that Bespoke Software is now an affordable prospect for companies that could never afford the luxury of their own custom built applications in the past.

"The software world is changing, and this is largely thanks to the open source community which has made software development much more affordable" said John Rivers, who participated in the poll. "We looked into having our own program created three years ago and it was simply unaffordable, but this is no longer the case".

The demand for software has never been higher and in fact, Micar has started to recruit additional staff to cope with the current demand from various business sectors, some of which have never approached our software company before.

We had a boarding kennels approach us last week about the possibility of creating a database for them. This is a first for us but when you think about it, why not? Its affordable and they have a need for it so we will create a suitable package for them.
