Online Poll results, What social website do you visit most?

Firstly, thank you to everyone that participated in Micar bespoke software's latest online poll 'what social website do you visit most?'. This poll was conducted in order to try and gauge how many of you out there are using socialising sites on the web and what sites you are using.

Here are the results of our online poll:

• 1. Twitter - 53% of the vote.
• 2. Facebook - 27% of the vote.
• 3. Other - 13% of the vote
• 4. MySpace - 7% of the vote

The results. It was very interesting to see that NOBODY voted for Flickr, Bebo or Friendster. If we start with Friendster I am not too surprised that no one voted for this, not because there is anything wrong with the site, but more so because Friendster is the new kid on the block and is still gaining popularity. Bebo does surprise me; I didn't think that for one minute it would win, but to not receive any votes? Very surprising indeed.

Twitter is definitely the social networking site that is currently 'in fashion'. Almost if not all bespoke websites we create include a twitter module now or at least a link to their twitter page. The amount of celebrities using Twitter now is certainly increasing popularity worldwide, with everyone wanted to follow their favourite celebs, keeping an eye on their daily activities.  Twitter is also a very good online marketing tool. Facebook is always going to be popular, but according to you guys it's not as popular as twitter! Just about everyone I know has a Facebook account and seem to spend more time interacting online as opposed to in real life!!
