Results from our online Poll - What CMS does your website use?

May's online poll was an interesting one. We wanted to try and find out just what is the CMS of choice for our customers and general visitors of the website.

A big thanks first of all for everyone that contributed to the online poll, your opinion counts and makes a difference to the decisions we make when it comes to bespoke software development.

The results;

• 2. Drupal (25%)
• 3. Wordpress (20%)
• 4. Mambo (15%)
• 5. Other (10%)

Conclusions

If I am being honest I would have forecast that Drupal would finish in position 1. Drupal is certainly the choice of many software and website development companies across the UK, but the poll shows that Joomla is the most popular CMS used by our site visitors.

Joomla is a very good CMS indeed. My personal CMS of choice is wordpress because of how easy it is to use and how good the functionality is but many business users like Drupal for its choice of modules and the ability to create a professional looking website, even though it can be a pain to configure if you don't know your way around it too well.
