Micar Computers Systems Ltd has designed our website to be accessible. The Government passed the Disability Discrimination Act in 1995, which dictates that companies that employ 15 or more employees must make changes that are practical. Part 2 of the Act came into force on October the 1st 2004 which applied to companies with 15 or less employees. We all have responsibility to both our employees and customers, to enable access to our work spaces, products and services.
Section 3 of the Disability Discrimination Act came into force on October the 1st 1999. Section 3 refers to the accessibility of web sites. It refers to the Goods, Services, Premises and Facilities of companies and enforces that if you have a business that offers goods, facilities and services on the Internet, then that web site falls within the remit of the act.

We have endeavoured to write links that make sense out of context and provided attributes to describe the link.
Images
All content images have descriptive alt tags which display when images are switched off and can be read by screen readers.
Font Sizes
Fonts within the site are scalable by browsers to the users preferred size.
PDF’s
The site uses PDF files to display content such as product brochures. If your screen reader software is not compatible with the free Adobe Reader, you can use a free online tool which converts the content of PDF files to a format which can be understood by most screen reader applications.
We are hoping to reduce the use of PDFs on the site in the future and are planning to introduce accessible HTML wherever possible.
